Signs/Symptoms

Signs and symptoms of ALS include difficulty walking, tripping and difficulty doing daily activties due to weakness of the legs, feet and ankles. There are also uper body issues such as muscle cramps in the arms, shoulders and toungue. Other symptoms include slurred speech trouble swallowing and even difficulty holding ones head up and keeping good posture.

 

Symptoms usually start in your hands, feet or limbs then advance to other areas of the body. As the disease advances the sick persons muscles become progressivly weaker eventually causing  problems in respritory, auditory and digestive functions
